Book Cover Design
We offer competitive rates on custom book cover design, Design fees range from $599-$850 for a perfect bound (soft cover) book. The price range is dependant on the complexity of the design. The fee is $949 for a dust jacket. eBook cover design fees are $299-$599 depending on the complexity of the design. This does not include the cost of images needed for your cover. Images range from $10.00 - $200.00 each
We respond promptly to clients and begin projects quickly whenever possible. We use graphic design software compatible with most printers. We communicate with your printer to make sure your book cover is delivered in conformity with their guidelines using the specs they provide. We are available to your printer after the files are submitted to deal with any technical problems should they arise.
Cover samples/proofs will be provided to you as PDF files. Images to be used for the cover design may be researched and provided by the client, the publisher, or us. Book cover design includes the cover, spine and back, and inside flaps for hardcover books.
To get started on your book cover design it would help if your book interior is either in the process of being formatted or already formatted (designed) by Indigo or someone else. The total page count of your finished book interior will determine the spine width of the book cover. Therefore, the interior ultimately must be designed and laid out before the cover can be completed. We can get started on the front of the cover while the interior is in process. You will need to decide with your printer which book type (perfect bound or hardbound) and what book size you want. You will also need to have your finalized title and subtitle or any other text that will go on the cover.
We partner with printers so should you need help in finding a printer we can ssist with that too.

Book Interiors
We offer competitive rates on book interiors We charge by the FINISHED page. The range is generally between $7 and $10 per finished page, depending upon the complexity of the manuscript. There is an additional $125 design setup fee. To find out how much you will be charged per finished page, we need to see a few pages of the manuscript. Your manuscript can be emailed as an MS Word attachment. The price per finished page will be fixed but since we cannot know the exact page count till done, we will have to estimate the final cost of the book interior.
Having the same person design both your book cover and your book interior will create a more professional and harmonious package. The interior of a book should be as appealing as the cover. It is preferable to develop a consistent look between the interior and the cover so that they reflect the same style.
To get started on your book interior formatting and design you will need to have your manuscript completely finished and edited. You may submit your manuscript in MS word or some similar word processing program via email. Your manuscript should clearly show chapters and sub heads, etc. You should select a printer before beginning on your book interior formatting as the specification/file format requirements my differ from printer to printer.
